MEPS predicts global stainless steel output to hit 40.2 million tons in 2014

UK-based MEPS reported that the global crude stainless steel output will hit 40.2 million tons in 2014, rising by 5.7% year on year.

Meanwhile, it’s predicted that Japan’s crude stainless steel output might reach 3.3 million tons in 2014, up by 4% from 2013.

Output in South Korea will increase by 1.9% to 2.15 million tons. Taiwan’s crude stainless steel output is predicted to reach 1.12 million tons, increasing by 4.1% over the 2013.

Meanwhile, it’s predicted that China’s crude stainless steel output might reach 20.2 million tons in 2014.
